The Drone News

The first introduction to immersion drone piloting for people with disabilities.
Continuing its #KillLaBetise campaign, LADAPT is pursuing its struggle against prejudice by launching HandiDrone. This operation, the only one of its kind in the world, has been created by the digital agency Kindai.
Last May 28th, a first piloting day of this avant-garde program was implemented by LADAPT and Kindai. Organized with the support of Airgonay and Blaireaux Air Model associations, the operation took place in the heart of the mountains of Haute-Savoie and let a dozen participants with disabi- lities rediscover semi-forgotten sensations through immersion piloting.
Immersion piloting, or First Person View piloting (FPV), is not well-known to the general public: a camera attached to the drone transmits a video signal in real time during flight using a transmitter/ receiver. The pilot can then control the engine and visualize his flight using FPV goggles, with sen- sations similar to those of a bird, excitement guaranteed!
Beyond the sensations provided through the experience, this program is a real opportunity to in- troduce people with reduced mobility to an emerging field compatible with their disability, and to create new vocations!
For Thierry Delerce, regional director (Auvergne-Rhône Alpes) of LADAPT, “This is a unique adven- ture for those who participate and an innovative way to counter prejudices associated with disabi- lities.”
Videos of the experience are available on the campaign’s dedicated webpage www.ladapt.net, as well as on LADAPT social networks (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube).

ABOUT KINDAI
A Paris-based digital communication with a hacker state of mind
Kindai is a digital communication agency specializing in Brand Content. Founded in 2013 by Nico- las Lanter and Aurélien Fouache based on a clear recognition: digital creation is cruelly lacking in simplicity and authenticity.

Today the agency includes brands from every sector of business among its clients: Coca-Cola, Peugeot, Menlook, Paris Musées, Bailey, Armani, Etam, etc.
